Premier, an end-to-end architecture, design, procurement, project management and corporate engineering firm with specialization in hospitality, multi-family residential, student housing, adaptive-reuse and mixed-use development, has appointed Stephen Funk as the firm’s new VP, architecture.
He has more than 22 years of experience, and has significant new-build architectural design expertise. His project portfolio includes international landmark hotels and multi-family developments as part of his past work.
“I’m very excited to be joining Premier and their strong collaborative team,” said Funk. “With Premier’s standing in the hotel and mixed-use design industries, the opportunity to jump in and immediately have a positive impact on Premier’s clients is inspiring to say the least.”
The role of VP, architecture is a newly created position at Premier and was created as part of the firm’s focus on expanding its new-build hotel and multi-family residential design capabilities. Funk has expertise in designing mixed-use developments anchored by hotels and residential buildings that incorporate community-defining design and amenities, according to the company. He has also been a part of teams that designed projects spanning multiple city blocks.
“We’re very pleased to have Stephen join our team,” said Patrick Burke, SVP, architecture and design, Premier. “Adding Stephen’s experience to our already world-class team of architects and designers will help Premier further advance our reputation as new-build hotel and ground-up multi-family residential design experts.”
