UK: KOP Properties, a subsidiary of KOP Limited, is set to open the Ellen Kensington luxury boutique hotel in Earl’s Court, London.
Housed in the former Burns Hotel, Ellen Kensington is set to launch in early summer. The property is set across five interconnected townhouses and is currently in the latter phase of refurbishment.
The hotel is named in tribute to the British stage actress Dame Ellen Terry.
It features 105 rooms, a pan-Asian restaurant, lounge and bar, gym, treatment rooms, and self-operated laundry facilities.
Montigo Resorts, the hospitality subsidiary of KOP Group, will manage the hotel.
When KOP acquired The Burns Hotel, Leny Suparman, group CEO and a founder, said: “Our latest purchase, in one of London’s most affluent and sought-after locations, is an exciting milestone for the group. It demonstrates our commitment to growing our lifestyle portfolio of upscale, exciting properties for business and leisure in the UK market. We are also looking forward to introducing Asian hospitality to this part of the world, via our own hospitality brand, Montigo Resorts.”
In the UK, Ellen Kensington will join the 28-room Montigo Resorts Somerset at Charlton House which opened last year.
The Montigo Resorts portfolio includes Montigo Resorts Nongsa in Batam and Montigo Resorts Seminyak in Bali.
KOP Group’s wider portfolio includes the mixed-use London development 10 Trinity Square, as well as indoor ski resort Wintastar Shanghai, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Singapore and more.
