Badlands Hotel Capital has been appointed by Blue Water Development to provide asset management for nine hotels and outdoor hospitality properties—operated by three management companies—across six East Coast drive-to resort markets.

Four of the nine properties are in Ocean City, MD. They are :
- The 109-room Commander Hotel & Suites: Located on the boardwalk in Ocean City, MD, the development features three unique buildings. The Oceanfront Hotel building offers direct boardwalk access and private balconies. The pet-friendly Cabana Suites feature full kitchens, partial ocean views, pool views and family dining areas. The recently renovated Besch House provides apartment-style accommodations.
- The 60-room Sealoft Oceanfront Hotel: This newly renovated beachfront hotel offers rooms and suites with balconies, flat-screen TVs, mini-retro refrigerators, microwaves, coffeemakers and more. Hotel amenities include an outdoor pool, post-checkout changing rooms, complimentary self-parking and beach chairs. A stay at Sealoft Oceanfronr stay includes access to amenities at its sister property, Aloft Ocean City.
- The 120-room Aloft Ocean City: This hotel offers family rooms with private balconies and city views. Amenities include a sun terrace, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi. Additional facilities include a fitness room, outdoor fireplace and yoga classes.
- The 52-unit Shore Point Cottages: Located within a private, gated community, the two-bedroom and studio deluxe cottages feature private porches and fully equipped kitchens.
The other properties include:
- The 67-room Bay Resort Waterfront Hotel (Dewey Beach, DE): Each room in this property includes a kitchenette, free WiFi, flat-screen TVs and a patio with bay or pool views. Guests can rent a paddleboard or kayak and explore Rehoboth Bay, go crabbing or swim in the outdoor pool. The beach, dining and local hotspots like Bottle and Cork are just steps away.
- BlueFin Bungalows and Marina (Chincoteague, VA): This boutique vacation rental and marine resort is located on Virginia’s only resort island. Featuring 37 bungalows and suites, including floating bungalow boats, the property also offers 24 boat slips at the Chincoteague marina.
- Drifting Sands Oceanfront Hotel (Ship Bottom, NJ): This beachfront hotel is six miles from Manahawkin Wildlife Management Area and Manahawkin Bay, and seven miles from Fantasy Island Amusement Park. Rooms and suites feature free WiFi and balconies; most have ocean views, coffeemakers, minifridges and microwaves. Upgraded rooms include whirlpool tubs and kitchenettes or wet bars. There is also direct beach access.
- The Crystal Coast Oceanfront Hotel (Atlantic Beach, NC): This beachfront hotel features rooms that include flat-screen TVs, minifridges, microwaves and balconies with ocean views. There is also an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a sundeck with sunloungers and shaded picnic tables. Seasonal amenities include a poolside bar and beach chair rentals. A nautical-themed bar/restaurant serves breakfast and seafood.
- The 112-room Comfort Inn & Suites Daytona Beach Oceanfront (Daytona Beach, FL): The hotel is located directly on the Atlantic Ocean and offers rooms with features like microwaves and mini-fridges; most have private balconies.
With the addition of the Blue Water Development portfolio, Badlands Hotel Capital now provides
asset management services for a total of 25 hotel and RV campground properties across North America—including two properties in which the company holds an ownership stake.
